Come and experience the cultural and natural beauty of western Ireland. Our group of 9 travelers will stay at Hillcrest House, near Westport. Our driver and local guide, Olcan Masterson, will fill our heads with Irish folklore and history as he drives us to photogenic destinations. Unscheduled stops are a 'must' on both his and my itinerary! We'll explore the ruins of old abbeys, castles, picturesque villages and towns, the countryside, natural areas such as the Sheffrey Hills forest, and the wild coastline of Achill Island, with a possible visit to Claire Island. New for this year we'll also visit the Loophead Peninsula, known for it's dramatic scenery and birdlife. Evenings will be spent discussing photography, with two nights for photo reviews. We'll also visit a pub or two to listen to Olcan and other musicians play traditional Irish music, and if we're lucky, take in the fun of an Irish horse race, that will produce great people pictures. The tour is designed for photographers with a working knowledge of photography basics. Participants should be familar with their particular camera equipment.

Trip Price: $2,695, plus airfare. Includes ground transportation, accomodations while on the tour, breakfast and dinner daily and the services of the local guide and the photographic guide.
