BRENDA THARP’S PHOTO WORKSHOPS & TOURS
We offer CLASSIC workshops and ADVENTURE tours that are designed to visually inspire and challenge you. We have scouted each location and are confident about the photographic opportunities they will provide. We get you there in the best light for that location. ‘Right place, right time’ is our motto – and then we leave it up to Mother Nature to give us all she’s got in terms of light and weather!
Our Classic workshops are designed for all skill levels, with plenty of time for hands-on in the field as needed.* We keep group sizes small enough to allow for one-on-one help in the field from 2 instructors. We’ll be working alongside of you and offering ideas and tips in real time to help you make your best pictures in each situation. Classic workshops offer a balance of in-field teaching and classroom time for image review and discussions.
Our Adventure Tours** are designed to provide you with outstanding photo experiences in exciting locations. They have less formal instruction, yet we continue to offer you helpful tips. Led by professional photographers (myself and others), we guarantee you the best learning experience.
Whether it’s a tour or a workshop, our goal is to make sure that you are improving your photography as well as having a grand experience. With a combined experience of years of teaching, we have the passion and the knowledge to help you advance your photographic vision and skills.
* Beginners would benefit most by having a working knowledge of the basics of photography and how to operate their camera equipment.
**Some adventure tours include cultural experiences as well.
Classic Workshops on the schedule include Natural Impressions, Extraordinary Everyday Photography, Death Valley, and Zion, Yosemite and Acadia. Adventure Tours include Namibia, Tanzania, Portugal, Slovenia and Cuba.
